Company Profile

My interest in Art and Glass was strongly influenced by my early childhood. My home is located at Eglinton, in the surrounding hillside of Derry City. From the accompanying seascapes and coastlines of the most northerly points in Ireland, my earliest artistic influences can be traced. I have carried with me everywhere, the fascinating interplays between light, water and crystal like sand grains, which I viewed along the coastlines of some of the most beautiful beaches. It was from these childhood fascinations that my special talent for creative glass started.

I have enjoyed a glowing interest in Art & Design through out my formative and academic years. In my pursuit of excellence I graduated from the prestigious National College of Art and Design in Dublin, were I gained my BDes Hons Degree, specialising in Glass. At NCAD I truly developed my craft skills as a talented Glass Designer and won early acclaim from both my peers and lecturers for my unique approach to glass design.

Natasha Duddy Glass Designs has been trading since 2000. I continue to grow my craft skills in creative glass designs at my glass design studio and workshop. My work focuses on a unique range of jewellery, the production of personal and corporate glass gifts and also architectural glass sculptures. I am currently one of the most exciting creative glass designers in Ireland and the UK.

"Within glass I have always been interested in the effects and moods created using artificial and natural light, which provided me with the inspiration to create a unique range of jewellery. For these pieces the ideas initially came from bold bright colours and geometric shapes. I particularly like the contrast of the transparency of the glass and how you can see what is happening through it and inside it; to the contrast of the opaqueness of some of the other glasses. But I think you will agree that they will become the main focal point of any conversation"
